Dinner at Hudson Cafeteria, Hudson Hotel, New York City

It was a special dinner arranged by Dena. We took the yellow cab from our hotel in Times Square New York to the Hudson Hotel. My first impression of the hotel was good, the hotel looks grand and majestic.

Bling Bling! Beautiful Chandelier at the lobby of the hotel
We walked by the lobby with the beautiful chandelier. It was one of the most notable pieces in the lobby.

Hello Amelia!
Then, we proceeded to the Hudson Cafeteria. The ambiance there was dark, a very good place for candle light dinner. The service there was nevertheless outstanding.

The dinner was an enjoyable one. I had salmon with “bak choy” and soy sauce, a fusion (western Asian) food that seems to be uncommon there which is so common here in Malaysia.

Fusion Salmon: Taste is too common for Asians?
The taste was too common for us but it was well done.

Pumpkin Soup: Recommended!
The others had pasta with grill chicken, pumpkin soup and the lamb shank.

The dinner was completed with a fine red wine.

Beautiful Dena and me.

We really enjoy ourselves there. With such prime location, the bill came together to around US 20 to US 30 per person excluding wine. It seems to be very reasonable to me. Decent food, great services, it was worthwhile.
