Taiwanese Steamboat @Tian Xiang Hui Wei

17 November 2008 One Comment

Tian Xiang is actually a chain of steamboat restaurant in Taiwan. If I’m not mistaken they have at least more than 20 outlets in Taiwan.

This place is different than the usual steamboat joint. Most of the ingredients used are expensive and imported. The last time I went, there were 2 soup base, herbal soup or spicy (ma lat) soup…

Soup base is around RM 30++ excluding food…

The herbal soup consists of more than 20+ herbs without MSG. To make things more interesting, they never serve chilli.

One thing I love about this place is the thin sliced pork….

The herbal soup…
Beef slices that is so good…

The feast begin…

The place is well decorated with individual VIP rooms. The place itself was very cosy and service there were excellent. The food are priced per plate. Meats are normally RM 10++ per plate. For the table of 10, we forked around RM 400- RM 600 per table. I’ve been to this place for a couple of times and I don’t mind going back again. Its something different. Spicy (ma lat) is not for the weaklings. I felt heat after taking the spicy soup… something you might want to try….
