Western Food @ Rockafellas Cafe, Lumut (March 09)
On the second night of the work, we decided to be a bit adventurous. Instead of dining in Setiawan, we drove further to Lumut town for dinner.
Recommended by my client, this place is called Rockafellas Cafe (not related to the Rockafellas of US). Apparently, this place is very famous for its simple western cuisine.
The journey itself took around 1/2 an hour. After a few turns, we finally located the restaurant in Lumut town.
The place itself was very cozy. Nice enough, they had a pool table in the cafe. The friendly waiter came and took our orders. We were really hungry.
We ordered a sauteed mushroom. It was good. The creamy butter garlic sauce goes very well with the mushroom. A real good starter! To be frank this mouthwatering dish was very addictive! The sauce was thick, flavourly with butter, garlic and hints of herbs.
The caesar salad was next. The caesar salad didn’t come with the egg. Missing eggs! One of the guys loved parmesan cheese so much, he basically “snowed” the caesar salad with the parmesan cheese. It was supposed to be a healthy food, now turned to a salad with cheese. The salad was decent.
I ordered a cordon bleu. Something that was not so in sync with my diet program. I felt guilty but the temptation was too much for me to handle.
A cut to the chicken, the ham was visible in the inside and the juicy melted cheese slowly flows out. A bite would taste the combinations of chicken with breadcrumbs, ham and melted cheese. It was delicious. Yet, it was sinful.
It was a fun night with lovely foods. I was a bit surprised as the place served decent foods with reasonable price. The service was good, but serving was a bit slow. They do spent a bit of time prepared their foods. The place is air conditioned and the music was nice.
Its a good place to dine if you are in Lumut.

i agree with u on their sauteed mushrooms. they are absolutely amazing!
