Charles Sturt University Wagga Wagga Campus: Our Excellent One Year Stay in Australia

1 July 2010 2 Comments

There are pre-paid washing machines near the cottages, so it is very convenient. It is near the mini mart as well as the bus stop.
The best part of staying in campus is you needn’t worried about the electricity and water bills. It is very costly during winter, heaters are not environmental friendly. And during summer, there is central air conditioner unit in every cottage.
Every cottage has a sharing kitchen. Each room has a mini fridge and there is a sharing huge fridge as well as microwave. Most cottages have 2 sharing bathrooms. Each cottage has one TV set as well.

We enjoyed the fact that we staying with local Aussies. Our culture lifestyle difference with theirs can be easily seen during our stay with them. Sometimes it could be good, sometimes it could be sour. However, at the end of the day, we treasure the experiences the most.
The Wagga Wagga town is not that quiet if you ask me. There is a 24 hours KFC and a few supermarket which includes Harvey Norman. There is also a cinema, bowling alleys and clubs. There are a few Chinese restaurants there as well.
After so long, we still missed the place. We hope to go back there one day to meet a few friends who are still around. For those who are looking forward to study there, it is a quiet place to study but always remember this. You can always travel to Sydney or Melbourne during holidays or breaks.
CSU and Wagga wagga, we still miss you. Thank you for reading.

    Hi Ann,

It wasn’t that bad and cheaper comparing to Sydney or Melbourne. The exchange rates might do the damage now. Peaceful place and lovely environment.

You can always rent a room in town but you need to catch the uni bus.

    Hope this will help.
