Interview and Berbuaka Puasa with Datuk Chef Wan: Asian Food Channel’s Best Wan Series

When I received the email invitation for an interview with Datuk Chef Wan, I immediately replied “YES, count me in!” There is no other Malaysian celebrity chef is more popular than Chef Wan. Growing up with his cooking shows on national TV, it is a dream to meet him personally.

I was invited for an interview session at his home in Ampang last week. His house is well decorated with a very Asian influenced theme. There, he greeted me as if he has known me for years. Together with other media reps, we sat down and had a short chat session rather than the usual formal interview session.

Like in his shows, Chef Wan is friendly, funny and humble. He speaks about the latest TV series from AFC (Asian Food Channel), Best Wan and how he didn’t receive any local support and sponsorships. He is happy that Asian Food Channel kept supporting him and also made him the resident chef. He also mentions about the different Malaysian food available on Best Wan. His spirit and his determination to promote Malaysian food worldwide truly amazed me.

Nice pics and a great attempt. Just some grammatical errors in the text, notably:

    (i) There is no other Malaysian celebrity chef is more popular…
(ii)Chef Wan also share with us of his experiences working overseas…
    (iii) and I wishes him…
