Honda Freed Experience: A Premium Compact MPV Review with PaulTan.org

The “Black” Honda Freed
Then we switched driver and I took the back seat. Did I tell you about the dual automatic sliding doors? One of the newer inventions that getting popular with premium Japanese MPV models lately which is the dual automatic sliding doors. It’s just with a click of a button. If you accidentally rest your hands at the back of the door, the door will stop once the sensor picked up an obstruction.

Honda Freed in Putrajaya
Honda FREED comes with a roomy cabin design. It features a low flat floor design and a high flat roof, a great way to maximize space and headroom for higher comfort level, while the theatrical seating position increases visibility for all passengers.
The ingenious walk-through cabin design makes it easier for passengers to maneuver from the first row to the third row. During a long journey, such convenience and comfort is necessary, especially for the little ones.
In terms of practicality, the seats on the third row are foldable for extra loading capacity when needed. A flexible and accommodating ride, the Freed can seat up to 7 people comfortably. For smaller families, the All-New Freed would be a joy ride for 4 people, along with 4 golf bags, or equipments and rations for an outdoor trip, or even 3 pieces of large baggage in the 3rd row. The low tailgate opening makes loading and unloading cargo a breeze.
There is ample storage space, including centre tray, glove compartment, door pockets, backseat hook and seven (7) cup holders spread out conveniently in easy to locate places. However there is no individual air conditioner unit at the back.
Overall, it was a good experience driving the Honda FREED. Unique design of the dashboard, bottom handbrake pedal, 1.5 iVTEC 118PS engine, low fuel consumption, 7 seater compact car, dual automatic sliding doors and low tailgate opening makes Honda FREED more than a usual MPV. If you looking more to a crossover of a compact car and MPV, this will fits best for you.

Thanks again Honda Malaysia, Advertlets and Paul Tan, Harve Singh and also the team from Driven. It was a good experience with Honda Freed.

Well, we have to wait and see.

Looks pretty decent. I personally think Honda should have given the car for a road trip instead of grouping bloggers to write about it.
