Ramly Burger Special Chili Padi at Pandan Jaya, Cheras

Last week, I found a new good Ramly Burger joint in Cheras. It is located at Jalan Pandan 3/6, see map below. It is just walking distance from the Pandan Jaya LRT station.

It looks like a typical Ramly burger stall, but it is not. To begin with, they are not using butter at all. Most Ramly burger stalls use butter for to toast the bun and to cook with burger patty.

Instead, they vegetable shortening. I almost mistaken it as mayonnaise but after looking at the texture of it, they explained to me it is vegetable shortening.

Their other specialty is that they use sesame oil for their burger. It is uncommon to use sesame oil as seasoning for a burger.

Lastly, the highlight of the stall is the usage of chili padi for their burger special. Chili padi is free of charge, complimentary on request.

Their burgers are pretty tasty with their own style of seasoning and ingredients. The stall is quite popular within the area as it has been there for more than 10 years as I was told.

Expect a spicy and explosive encounter if you order the Ramly Burger Special.

I think the cili padi really gives the usual Ramly burger the “kick”. Tried it and let me know what you think?
