Best Western Premier Dua Sentral Hotel Preview

The largest chain of hotels in the world is finally here in Kuala Lumpur. Best Western Hotel is finally in Kuala Lumpur and it is called the Best Western Premier Dua Sentral. The hotel is a newly opened 4 star international hotel and will be flagship of Best Western International in Malaysia.

This is not my first time staying in a Best Western Hotel. My first was a memorable one in Best Western New York, just a few steps away from the iconic Times Square. My second time experience with them is in Victoria as I stayed in Brooklands Best Western. Both stays are good and above satisfactory.

You must be wondering why this is a preview post even though we have stayed there. Even the hotel is opened to public weeks ago, the hotel is not fully operational yet. Only over 100 units are opened up to date of the 362 units available.

The hotel is located close to Mid Valley MegaMall, The Gardens Shopping Center, KL Sentral, Brickfields, Chinatown and the old Palace. Location is not an issue but getting there might be a bit tricky. The only entrance is by Jalan Tun Sambanthan from Kuala Lumpur and it is located beside the Holy Rosary Church.

The parking still not fully renovated and operated and it shares parking spaces with Tenaga Nasional building which is located on the other side of the twin buildings. There are a lot of parking spaces available right now and it will increase when it is fully opened.

The lobby is bright with tall ceilings and facing the highway. It is located next to the Kembali Kitchen. The receptionist was very efficient as we were tagged as “VIP” since we were there for the room review.

The marketing team told us that they want to surprise us with the room so we were up for a surprise. We were given a one bedroom unit apartment for the review.

Rachel was watching TV in the living of Best Western Premier Dua Sentral, the bedroom is at the back with a sliding door separates the both.

The first impression is contemporary and sleek. As usual, we put down our bags and I start to snap the pictures around the unit. The unit has a bedroom with TV, living with TV and a bar.

You can have guests in the living room while you can lock the bedroom. There is a door separates them so you still can privacy if you have guests.

Both rooms have its own individual air conditioner so there are two air-cond panels to control. You can turn off one of the air-conds if you are not in the room to conserve electricity.

If we can’t cook, we can still order the room service. We ordered the beef burger with french fries for RM 30.

best western premier dua infinity pool
The other highlight of the hotel is the infinity pool. Not the usual Olympic size pool, the infinity pool is only four feet deep. The pool is built in between the two towers. The night view at the pool area is a beauty.

Breakfast in Kembali Kitchen is a simple adventure of Malaysian cuisine. It might not be glorious but the Kembali Kitchen serves quality food.

Overall, it was a pleasant stay in Best Western Premier Dua Sentral. It is a positive approach by the hotel chain to start building hotels in Malaysia to cope with the growing demand due to the increase of tourist. The location of the hotel is ideal, near Chinatown and iconic places like Dataran Merdeka, National Mosque and Old King’s Palace but find the entrance to enter the hotel might be a tricky one. As the hotel offers deluxe room, one bed room unit and two bed room units, the hotel caters for single, couple travellers as well as family. Since it is a four star hotel, the pricing of the room will be very competitive.
