Lunch at Cradle Mountain Lodge

Set in near the Craddle Mountain, the Cradle Mountain Lodge is a beautiful place to stay and to dine. During my media trip to Tasmania last year, I had lunch at Cradle Mountain Lodge with my media friends.

It was not the best day as it was raining cats and dogs in Cradle Mountain. We missed the peak of the Cradle Mountain thanks to the bad weather.

However, we soon forgot about it as we had a fabulous lunch at Cradle Mountain Lodge. The restaurant in Cradle Mountain Lodge was warm thanks to their fireplace.

From the restaurant we were given a treat of beauty of the restaurant interior as well as the landscape view of the wilderness outside the restaurant.

The interior were dazzling and elegant with moody lightings. This is an ideal place for special occasion and indeed we had a special lunch there.

cradle mountain lodge tofu
We started off with Tofu and Eggplant stack, spring onions and buckwheat tabbouleh. It was graceful presentation and a great combination of taste.

cradle mountain lodge smoked oyster
House smoked oysters, Israeli couscous, walnuts, champagne and maple foam. Tasmanian osyters with champagne and maple foam, how luxurious!

cradle mountain lodge lasagne
Wild mushroom, spinach and feta lasagne, napoletana sauce and pea tendrils. It was my first time having a feta lasagne and did I mention it was beautifully done with delicate presentation.

cradle mountain lodge chicken
Chicken supreme, grilled corn and capsicum, kipfler potato, spinach, double cream and caramel port jus. The chicken breast was tastefully cooked and it was tender. The kipfler potato, double cream and caramel port jus added the flavour for the chicken.

cradle mountain lodge steak
Longford eye fillet, shallot blini, celeriac, carrots, spinach butter and sherry jus. The Longford eye fillet was cooked as ordered.  It was juicy and tender.

The lunch was more than we could ask for. The lunch was courtesy of Tourism Australia and the food was one of the best we had in Tasmania. If you are looking for a restaurant for a special occasion in Cradle Mountain, give Cradle Mountain Lodge a call as it won’t disappoint you.
