Madras Lane Yong Tau Foo 华巷酿豆China Town

Last month, I brought a guest to Petaling Street, Chinatown of Kuala Lumpur Malaysia for a food trip. One of the stops was the Madras Lane Yong Tau Foo 中华巷酿豆腐 located off Jalan Petaling near Bangunan Pak Peng, the map is attached below.

It is located in Pusat Penjaja Tun Hs Lee and it is the crowd puller. There are three curry laksa stalls and one famous chee cheong fun stall. You can only sit on the area near the food stall you ordered, they segmented the tables accordingly.

The beauty of Madras Lane Yong Tau Foo 华巷酿豆China Town is they prepare their yong tau foo fresh. Their workers prepare the fresh yong tau foo behind the stall while they cook in front of the stall.

On top of that, they are selling it only RM 1.00 per piece and it is cheaper than some of the famous yong tau foo restaurants. Considering the huge portion of each piece, RM 1.00 is a steal. We will definitely drop by again for more yong tau fu. They closed on Monday and map is as attached below.

That enormous red chili in the middle of the soup bowl looks like a devilish warming sign for my not so accustomed to heat taste buds. :-)
