Nasi Lemak Siang Malam Taiping

In one of our previous trips to Taiping, we always had our supper at Siang Malam. Siang Malam is old wooden food court that opens from morning till late but the nasi lemak stall only opens at night. Siang Malam means “day night”.

There are three types of nasi lemak available. Choices of Nasi Lemak Ikan Bilis (anchovy), Nasi Lemak Ikan, Udang and Kacang and Nasi Lemak Sambal Udang. All of them packed in fresh banana leaves, something that is hard to find in big cities like Kuala Lumpur.

The portion is standard nasi lemak takeaway size. There is nothing fancy about it but just fragrant nasi lemak with different ingredients. Prepare to order more than one packet as a big man can eat up to 3 packets. It is not because the portion is small but they are simply delicious.
