Kelantan Delights with U Mobile U Food

Where to have good and proper Kelantanese food? The beautiful east coast state has one of the most unique food in the country. Its rich history from both Thailand and Malaysia can be seen through its food. One of the places for good Kelantanese food is at Kelantan Delights.
Kelantan Delight Restaurant
They debut for this year’s MIGF (Malaysia International Gourmet Festival) and receives astonishing reviews. This is my first time at Kelantan Delights sponsored by U Mobile for their new U Food project.

I had lunch at their Subang Jaya outlet in Wisma Consplant, opposite Empire Gallery and Subang Parade. It was a casual lunch with good food.
Kelantan Delight Sireh Daun Kadoh
The lunch started off with a unique appetizer. It is called Sireh Daun Kadoh, a fried crispy shell as the outer layer covering betel leaf and sweet sauce. It is similar to Mieng Kam, a famous Thai appetizer.
Kelantan Delight tom yum with prawn
Tom Yam Udang Kelapa Muda or Tom Yum Prawns in Coconut. Having the usual tom yum in coconut infused with the fragrant of the coconut as the spicy and sour taste remains. No complains.
Kelantan Delight ayam percik
Nasi Kerabu Ayam Percik. Now this is a proper nasi kerabu. The rice is fragrant and the ayam percik is equally delicious. The beansprout and the fish crackers added more texture to this beautiful dish.
Kelantan Delight nasi tumpang
Nasi Tumpang is also one of the popular dishes from the east coast. The unique cone shaped stuffed rice is cooked with banana leaf. You won’t find this kind of this anywhere else in Malaysia than Kelantan. This is served with crispy fried chicken.
Kelantan Delight fried barramundi
Ikan Siakap Daun Kadok. It is deep fried Barramundi and tipped with spicy gravy. Well, it is hard to go wrong with fried food but most important of all is the texture must remain juicy. The Barramundi is deep fried to perfection and with the spicy gravy, you might order another one.
Kelantan Delight lompat tikam
For the dessert, we have Lompat Tikam. This is a common Malay dessert but is getting harder to find in Klang Valley.

I enjoyed the food in Kelantan Delights. Once again, thanks to U Food for sponsoring the food review.
