Chilli Pan Mee at Restaurant Kin Kin Pandan Indah

Chilli Pan Mee at Restaurant Kin Kin Pandan Indah

There are many success stories in local food in Kuala Lumpur. One of them is Restaurant Kin Kin’s chilli pan mee. The main restaurant is at 40, Jalan Dewan Sultan Sulaiman 1, Off Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman, Kuala Lumpur. It has been popular there for decades for only one reason and one type of food, chilli pan mee. Do not look for trouble if you plan to order the traditional pan mee as they only sell one type of food, the chilli pan mee.

They have an outlet in Pandan Indah Cheras for some time now, it is located at 6-G, Jalan Perubatan 4,Pandan Indah (off Jalan Pandan Ilmu) and it is located opposite of the Pandan Indah Police Station.

To be a speciality restaurant is never easy. There are many new food and beverages outlets selling variety of food because it is simply hard to please customers with one or two types of food. Thus, that is why I said they are one of the many success stories of Kuala Lumpur food scene. There are many pan mee restaurants but only a few that have the luxury of selling single type of food.

The success all goes down to the taste of the food. If the food is good, the customers will often return or else you will not see them for a very long time. With so many new F&B outlets mushrooming in Klang Valley, customers are spoilt with choices (many of them).

What is so special about Kin Kin’s Chilli Pan Mee?

Each and every bowl of their chilli pan mee is so visually appealing. Their pan mee is freshly made and mixed it with minced pork, chopped shallots, fried anchovies and poached egg. I am not sure how did they do it as every single bowl comes with a perfect poached egg.

For the amount of the chilli paste, it will depend on your preference. Hence, they cook their own chilli paste and it is really spicy. I love it with hints of it and my wife loves with lots of it. You can find different textures in this bowl of goodness, the softness of the noodle, the crunchiness of anchovies and the spiciness of the chilli paste. You will get so addictive you will order an additional bowl and you won’t regret it!
