Durian Lagenda simply means legend of durian. It is located at Lot 10 Hutong, a food haven in Lot 10 Shopping Centre in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It is one of the few food courts in Kuala Lumpur which is NON-HALAL. Lot 10 Hutong is the brainchild of Tan Sri Francis Yeoh who aims to bring the best food stalls in Kuala Lumpur together to promote local food.
Thus, Lot 10 Hutong opens it first branch in Guangzhou China last year. Durian Lagenda is one of the latest additions to this food heaven.
They offer desserts made with durian such as durian mochi, durian pancake, durian ice cream and durian cupcakes. If you are a durian addict, this is the place you should visit or you are the anti-durian person, you should walk far far away.
The durian pancake is a crepe dessert wrapping durian flesh with cream. The texture is soft and the taste depends heavily on the cream and the durian but this is heavenly. They are also available in many other restaurants selling it as dessert. This is addictive and a must for durian lover.
The best of the best must be their durian mochi. I tried their durian mochi during Chinese New Year at my friend’s house and I fell in love with it. It is the same with most Japanese mocha but the filling is the durian flesh. It is usually kept in the fridge and best taken when it is cold. You won’t stop having this if you are a durian lover. Malaysians in general are durian lovers and you can spot many durian stalls on the roadside during the durian season.
