Some time ago, I was driving near Batu Caves looking for a quick bite and one of the recommended restaurants in the area is Chong Hwa Curry Laksa Restaurant. There are a few reviews on this curry laksa specialty restaurant.
Since it is located in Sri Gombak, around 10 minutes of driving from Batu Caves, I don’t mind giving it a try rather of eating in Mamak restaurants again. The exact location is at No. 1, Jalan SG 3/1, Taman Sri Gombak and they closed on Tuesdays.
We ordered their signature curry laksa. The bowl of goodness comes with noodles and mee hoon, generous amount of “siham” (cockles) and also taufu pok. The curry is very thick and I felt the taste is too overwhelming. I would prefer if they go easy on the thickness of the curry. Thus, we didn’t realize that we can upgrade it with more ingredients. That will be probably more enjoyable.
Like I mentioned earlier, the taste of the curry is good but just too thick for my liking. The restaurant is usually busy during peak hours.

Thanks for the review! Btw, over the weekend I was at Tropicana City Mall and saw they just opened a new shop there at LG floor. This is their third shop including the Sri Gombak and PV shops 🙂
