Muar Ah Tik Pork Satay at Restoran Yong Kee

Muar seems to be underrated for its food as it is only popular with its “otak-otak” (grilled fish paste). If you drive to the “glutton stree” or Jalan Haji Abdullah, you can find some of the best food in the town.

At Restoran Yong Kee, you can find a good variety of local delicacies. One of them is the pork satay. There are at least two pork satay stalls in the restaurant itself. Well, competition is stiff but the fragrant smell of pork satay grilling under the hot charcoal fire will make you choose either one of them.

I went to Ah Tik Pork Satay by chance. I tried to order everything but the clam satay was not available as there was no stock on clams. Thus I ordered chicken, pork and pork intestine satay and they were tasty.

With each stick starts from RM 0.60 per stick, I feel the price is still reasonable. I enjoyed satay as it was seasoned well and goes well with the chilli paste (kuah).

I wasn’t aware whether Ah Tik Pork Satay is a popular stall but I definitely come back again for more oink oink satay.
