McDonald’s Cendol Soft Serve Ice Cream in Malaysia

Last week, McDonald’s Malaysia released a brand new soft serve ice cream for the festive month of Ramadan. It is the Cendol flavoured soft serve ice cream that comes with striking green colour cone. Cendol is one of favourite desserts but this adaption is pretty cool and represents Malaysia quite well.

Of course, we were excited with this brand new Cendol flavoured soft serve ice cream that comes with either cendol flavoured soft serve or cendol mixed with vanilla flavoured soft serve. It is priced at RM 2.00 each, double the price of the usual vanilla or chocolate soft serve ice cream.

However, there is a problem with this new McDonalds Malaysia Cendol Soft Serve Ice Cream.

The problem is it is only available in selected outlets and they didn’t mention it properly. Thus, you can see the amount of comments in their Facebook Page.

The big question is where are these selected outlets?

Of course, we were also victims of not getting this new exciting Cendol soft serve ice cream and we were told that only McDonalds in shopping malls offer the green cendol soft serve. Yes, you can find the new Cendol soft serve ice cream in McDonalds outlets in shopping malls only.

Thus, we went to IOI City Mall to taste this new Cendol soft serve ice cream. We ordered the Cendol & Vanilla flavoured soft serve ice cream.

The Cendol flavoured soft serve taste like ‘Gula Melaka’ (palm sugar) soft serve. The taste is not that heavy and it is better to order the mix flavoured in our opinion. Since everyone is familiar with McDonald’s soft serve ice cream, the texture is smooth and it is hard to go wrong. We love the Cendol soft serve ice cream and just want to taste it before they take it off the shelves.
