Hatyai Ice Dome Is Closed!

On our latest shopping trip to Hatyai, we found out that the Hatyai Ice Dome is closed since earlier this year. It has become Hatyai Wonders Land, theme park consists of 4D paintings, magic shows and water park.

The Hatyai Ice Dome has been running for a couple of years. When we met the deputy mayor in Kuala Lumpur many years ago, he introduced this Ice Dome to us. We went there on our own during one of our holidays in Thailand and we enjoyed.

It is a crazy concept of bringing ice carvers from Harbin China to recreate the ice structures in Hatyai. The ice dorm complex is maintaining -15 degree Celsius to keep the ice structures intact. They change the theme of the Ice Dome every year.

Don’t worry, there are plenty of other things to do in Hatyai. There is an ice skating rink in Central Festival Hatyai which is located near the Hatyai Ice Dome. Remember to register for their One Card for further discounts and you can also use the card in all the Central malls in Thailand.
