Thus, getting the return ticket will be 60,000 AirAsia BIG points (for return ticket) and RM 157 (for Tokyo for the airport tax and plus the extra service charge, it should be less than RM 200. The second trick is to wait for last minute deals via the AirAsia BIG Final Call X sale that starts on every third week of the month. Of course, it depends on the monthly promotion but usually the Japan destinations are part of the promotion. For the AirAsia BIG Final Call X sale, the travel period is usually within 45 days of the sale (the end of the next month).  I purchased my Tokyo Haneda ticket with AirAsia BIG Final Call X sale for 40,000 AirAsia BIG Points.

Now, you to earn the thousands of AirAsia BIG Points. Since the AirAsia BIG Loyalty Program is revamped, now it is easier to get the AirAsia BIG Points than it used to be.

The new AirAsia BIG membership levels.

Instead of getting AirAsia BIG Points via miles, now you get points depend on how much you purchased your ticket. Then, they have different levels of membership so the higher rank you are, the more points you will get. The usual members will get RED and followed with GOLD, PLATINUM and BLACK.

If you travel 14-23 one way flights a year, you will be upgraded to GOLD, PLATINUM (24 – 49 one way flights) and BLACK for 50 one way flights and above. This applies to all AirAsia flights including domestic flights. For AirAsiaX flights, you get two points one way and this will express your qualification to GOLD and above.
