Where to stay in Singapore? There are hundreds of hotels available in the city and where is the best place to stay? On our last trip to the Lion City, we decided to stay at one of the newest hotels in Singapore, YOTEL at Orchard Road.
YOTEL is a hotel chain based in UK. They usually operates within airports such as London Gatwick, London Heathrow, Paris Charles de Gaulle and Schiphol. YOTEL Singapore is their first hotel in Singapore and Asia.

- Ideal Location
YOTEL Hotel is located at 366 Orchard Road, the most popular road in Singapore. This is where you should chill, hang out and stay. It is super convenient to stay in Orchard as there are many shopping malls, restaurants, cafes, cinemas and more.
You can shop till you drop here and go back to the hotel easily here. Thus, ou can always hail a taxi or Uber back to the hotel or take the MRT subway and you reach the hotel within 5 minutes.
- Futuristic Concept and Design
The concept of YOTEL Hotel is unique. It is inspired by first-class airline travel so their rooms or they called it cabins are compact but beautifully designed. We will show the video of the room below.
Once you enter the hotel, you need to check in to the hotel as how you self-check in into your flight in the airport. How cool is that?
From the moment you step into the hotel, you will be mesmerised and wow-ed by the architecture and design of the lobby. The futuristic design is bright with tones of its signature purple lighting.
The hallway, the lifts and the room corridor are so beautiful and Instagrammable.
- Unique Room / Cabin

The size of the room is small and it is how they smartly designed the room so they can maximised the space. For example, how the bed can turn into a bench, the hidden compartments, how they put the basin in the room instead of the bathroom.
You can actually ‘work’ with your laptop with the hidden ‘desk’ and also the hidden power points.
- FREE High Speed WIFI
We always carry our laptop to travel and you do know most hotels do provide FREE WIFI but the line is always slow. YOTEL Singapore is one of the few hotels we stayed that offer FREE high speed WIFI. This makes things easier for us such as backing up our photos and videos to the cloud server or uploading videos to Youtube or watching movies online.
- Interactive Robot
We didn’t take the video of the interactive robot but you can actually order a room service using the robot. This is one of the highlights of YOTEL Singapore. The robot also comes with different types of voices so it is pretty cool.
- Competitive Pricing
We won’t say YOTEL Singapore is cheap but rather competitive pricing. Compare to other hotels at Orchard Road, YOTEL Singapore is one of the best stays in our opinion. Room rates are $S200 per night per room but it all depends on the particular dates.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay at YOTEL Singapore. It is very convenient to chill and walk around Orchard Road and the room is clean and service is top notch.
