Good news everyone! IKEA Malaysia is now available online! This means you don’t need to visit their stores (physically) to shop and order. You can now buy IKEA products online at their IKEA Online Store at www.ikea.com.my.
We remember the days that we need to drive down to IKEA at IPC Shopping Centre to get the furniture for our house years ago. Now, you simply log in to their online store, order and they will send to you to your doorsteps (delivery fees apply).
This is good news for designers and real shoppers who do not want to waste time and also the hassle of driving to their outlet, finding parking and cramp with other shoppers.
We don’t mind the IKEA shopping experience if you have time as there is IKEA food and window shopping is part of our Malaysian culture and not forgetting the new IKEA Café in IPC Shopping Centre.
There are three IKEA stores in Malaysia right now, two in Klang Valley and one in Johor Bahru. There will be one IKEA store opening in Penang soon.
The best part of IKEA Online Store is they can deliver the items to the entire Peninsula Malaysia (West Malaysia) and parts of East Malaysia (in Sabah and Sarawak) with shipping costs apply.
If you look at the image below, there are three different zones in West Malaysia. The Delivery in West Malaysia service fees for truck delivery starts from RM 98 to RM 258.
We checked the delivery fees to Kota Bahru is RM 258 for truck delivery. That is pretty cheap considering the nearest IKEA store to Kota Bahru is in Klang Valley.
For Delivery in East Malaysia, the truck delivery service fee is RM 675 and it is only available for Kuching, Miri and Kota Kinabalu.

Now, you can shop at IKEA online store at your comfort in home or office. Please take note that IKEA online store is available on their website, there is no IKEA online store app for mobile phones yet.
