Is Harry Potter’s Butterbeer in Universal Studios Japan HALAL?
We visited Universal Studios Japan in Osaka twice and we loved the ‘The Wizarding World of Harry Potter’. It is a must visit for Harry Potter fans. You get to see the Hogwarts and some of the familiar scenes from Harry Potter. On top of that, you can see many people holding the Butterbeer. Butterbeer is a popular drink in Harry Potter and also in Universal Studios Japan. The big question comes to our mind is the Butterbeer HALAL? Is Butterbeer a real beer with alcoholic content?
This is not our first time blogging about HALAL content. Being a Malaysian and staying with our Muslim friends, we know the difficulties in finding HALAL food in some countries and thus we blogged many HALAL related contents such as HALAL restaurants in Hong Kong, Macau and Bangkok and also Is Suntory Premium Morning Milk Tea Halal and Tokyo Banana Halal? Back to our topic of Butterbeer, is Butterbeer HALAL?
Butterbeer is NON Alcoholic beverage and this means it is zero alcohol content in that drink. The recipe is a secret recipe according to Universal Studios Japan but you can find many recipes online. The basic ingredients for Butterbeer is butterscotch, soda, cream and butter. Some recipes comes with milk and spices.
The taste of Butterbeer is similar with RootBeer. Rootbeer is also another NON alcoholic beverage and HALAL too. The foam part of Butterbeer is creamy and sweet. It gives you the white mustache.
There are two versions of Butterbeer, cold or hot. You can either have it in disposable cup for 600 Yen, 1100 Yen for the Plastic Mug and 3980 Yen for the Premium Mug. You can keep the mugs.
Butterbeer is NON alcoholic and HALAL. It is safe to drink for everyone including kids. We hope you everyone enjoy Butterbeer like we do.
