Sea Lions and Imperial Comorants at De Los Lobos Island, Tierra del Fuego, ARGENTINA
It has been years since I’ve seen a sea lion. In fact, I forgot where was the last time I seen a sea lion. Not sure whether it was in Zoo Negara Malaysia or the Singapore Zoo. By the way those were “captive” sea lions, not the wild ones.
Last year, I had a month long trip to Argentina and I traveled to Ushuaia the southernmost city in the world. There, my friends and I took a boat …

Five Brothers Mountain Ushuaia ARGENTINA: Picture Of the Week
Last year while traveling in Argentina, I got the chance to visit the city of the “End of the World”. The reason it is called the end of the world because it is the southernmost city in the world. The city of over 100,000 is called Ushuaia. It is the closest city to Antarctica and dozens of Antarctica cruises will stop at Ushuaia before proceeds to the Antarctica peninsula via the Beagle Channel.
Behind this beautiful city, lies a very famous mountain among …

In the past, Ushuaia has one of the most remote prisons in the world. Due …

Museo Maritime de Ushuaia, ARGENTINA
Despite being the southernmost city in the world, Ushuaia bears a unique history of its own. Capital of Tierra del Fuego, province of Argentina; Ushuaia is populated with an estimated one hundred thousand of downright neighborly Argentineans.
My arrival during summer in Ushuaia was welcomed by cooling temperature around 5 to 10 degree Celsius and an ear-popping crowd. As it is the nearest port to Antarctica and key access point to the southern regions, Ushuaia often packed with tourists from all over especially Spain and Chile. It …

It’s more like a curiosity meets experience thing as how often would I will be traveling in Argentina again. I didn’t have much chance to go one except my 9 days stay in Ushuaia and my last few days stay in Buenos Aires.
Since I will be alone in Buenos Aires, the only chance I had was in Ushuaia. Together with another traveling partner, we …

Hamburger & Bailey’s Chocolate – Tante Sara Cafe & Bar, Ushuaia, ARGENTINA
During one of the 9 days stay in Ushuaia, I wandered to this restaurant called Tante Sara Cafe & Bar. After having a few rounds in the casino nearby, it was time for a good lunch.
Rightfully, Tante Sara Cafe & Bar was around the corner. Located at the busiest road of Ushuaia, San Martin, Tante Sara can be easily spotted. I was greeted by the waiters and immediately they taken my order. Service was good despite how packed the …

Commerson’s Dolphins in Strait of Magallen, CHILE
One of the places I visited in Chile, was the Strait of Magallen. After crossing the border from Argentina, we had to cross the Strait of Magallen to go to Argentina again for Ushuaia. Weird but true, we need to cross Chile in order to back to Argentina.
Upon reaching the Strait of Magallen, there was a long queue. A lot of passenger cars and trucks queuing up towards the coast.
Little did I know that, we need to cross the strait with the huge ferry? …

My First Small Aircraft Flying Experience with Aero Club Ushuaia, ARGENTINA
Upon arriving Ushuaia, Argentina I often see the light aircraft venturing the sky. Thus, I asked one of the local tour operator out of curiosity and it wasn’t expensive. Half an hour flight cost around US$ 70 and an hour flight cost around US$ 120.
I never had an experience flying with a small aircraft before so I will not miss this opportunity. Together with buddy “Double Zero” Rate De Silva, we went to the Aero Club Ushuaia Airport with one …
