Grace Hotel Sydney Review
On my trip to Sydney earlier this year, I stayed at the Grace Hotel. As it was arranged by Destination New South Wales, I stayed in this hotel for two nights. I wished for more.

The hotel is located in centre of Sydney’s CBD, near King and York streets and minutes to many great attractions. Some of them are George Street, Pitt Street Mall, the Queen Victoria Bulding, Darling Harbour, Martin Place, Circular Quay, The Rocks, Chinatown and many more.

I read some of the history of this hotel …

QVB Queen Victoria Building Sydney
I still remember my first day in Australia in Sydney. It was more than 10 years ago as I reached Sydney with Rachel for our university. It was the winter and we loved it. The first food we had was the Vietnamese food and one of the first landmarks we went was the QVB or Queen Victoria Building.

Let’s read some of the history of this magnificent building I found from Wikipedia.org

The site of the Queen Victoria Building was previously the location for municipal markets (designated by …

Sydney Fish Market Pyrmont Australia
Well, there is a saying you won’t complete Sydney without visiting the Fish Market.  It is the second largest fish market in the world (in terms of varieties), no doubt Tsukiji of Tokyo is ranked number one.

My first time visiting the fish market was more than 10 years ago with Rachel and my cousin Sherry. The easiest way and the cheapest way to go to the fish market by using the Light Rail and you stop at Fish Market station. Talk a brisk walk (follow the …

I Love Adriano Zumbo The Star (former Star City) Sydney
He is one of the most famous Australian celebrity dessert chefs. He had appeared in many episodes of Masterchef Australia and loved by many Australians. He is Adriano Zumbo, a master patissier and his creations are masterpieces.
I had seen him on Masterchef Australia and also heard so much about him so when I was in Sydney, I must visit his shop by any means. Coincidently his latest outlet is in former Star City, walking distance from York Street (probably a good …

Bourke Street Bakery Sydney
We studied in Australia for a year (more than a decade ago) while Rachel stayed on for another year. We stayed in Wagga Wagga NSW for most of our time and travelled to Sydney whenever we were free.
After 10 years I revisited Sydney earlier this year. It was a very emotional trip for me, maybe I was being drama. During my stay there, I had a chance to try out one of the most popular bakeries in Sydney, the Bourke Street Bakery.

Bourke Street Bakery, check out the …

The Other Side of Bondi Beach
We heard so much about Bondi Beach in Sydney. One of the most popular beaches in Australia, Bondi Beach attracts thousands or probably millions of visitors annually. We have been to Bondi a few times during our holiday and our stay in Sydney and we always forgot and missed the other side of Bondi.

Bondi Beach captured with panoramic function with Samsung NX-11.

The usual scenery in Bondi Beach, bikinis and surfboards.

You might notice it in Bondi Rescue, a TV Reality Series on events happening in Bondi …

Ribs at Pancakes On The Rocks, Sydney
Yes, we heard so much about the Pancakes on the Rocks. The last time we had pancakes there was in 2011. Now, it has a total five outlets in Sydney and one of them is in Darling Harbour.
On my recent trip to Sydney, I planned my revisit to this familiar restaurant at The Rocks. I went there for dinner on my second day of my three days trip to Sydney. It was a hectic day and walking all day took the toll on my …

Ipoh On York Review, Sydney Australia
If you are one of those who love to indulge authentic Ipoh food, you can read on. This is a hidden gem in Sydney. The restaurant is only 3 months old and the queue is getting longer by day during lunch hour. Well, this is Ipoh On York on Lower Ground 89th York Street.  Opened by Malaysian and cooked by Malaysians.

There is no secret that I have insider information on this restaurant, thanks to my dearest cousin in Sydney. The Malaysian food craze in Sydney …

Australian Chinese Ex-Services Monument, Sydney
Many might have seen this monument when they walked past it in Haymarket Sydney every day. Located at Dixon Street and near Chinatown, Australian Chinese Ex-Services Monument is a beautiful striking monument that captured my attention.

The monument is built to honour the Australian Chinese Ex-Services. It may come as a surprise to some that many Australians of Chinese descent served in the Australian defence forces and in the merchant navy. In fact, they have done so since the Boer War, and they served with honour during …
