Dream Wedding Chapel @ Blue Point Bay Villas & Spa, BALI
Let me put something nice for a Friday. Since we are going to have a long weekend ala Merdeka celebrations, we will be away for a short holiday as well. We will be going to Kuching for a short trip.
This whole dream wedding chapel wasn’t really my idea. My sis, Adeline told me about this amazing dream wedding chapel in Bali a few months ago. Then, she went to Bali and took a couple of pictures of it. After looking …

May be the grass is greener on the other side…
I realized that the beaches in Bali were spectacular. This pictures were taken at Nusa Dua beach side of the Grand Mirage Hotel.

The beach where the pricey hotels and resorts were…

Beach area of Grand Mirage Hotel, Nusa Dua

Most of the 5 stars resorts and hotels stretched along this beach. One of the expensive places to stay in Bali.

Its located at the ever busy Jalan Kartika Plaza. The stretch that goes a long way to Seminyak area.
The good thing about staying at Febri’s Kuta was its walking distance to many shopping malls and shops. When ever we were free, we just walked around the Kuta area.

We went to Kebab Palace for a “quickie”. I loved kebabs. I missed the amazing kebabs in Sydney, they were the best I had in my life.

We ordered 2 kebabs. Lamb Kebab for 28,900 RP and Chicken Kebab for 23,900 RP. They were …

One great thing about staying in Kuta was the lovely Kuta beach. The other thing would be the Kuta Beach’s morning market. I am not sure whether the morning market runs daily or just from Friday to Sunday. I was there on Friday for sure.

The market is located at the Kuta Beach stretch. Visible from far.

Lots of things were available. From flip flops to earrings, from one piece beach dresses to T-shirts and jeans. It was just another typical Bali market but this one is on the beach.

Yeah, they had …

We missed the sunset at Jimbaran because we had our sunset “session” at Tanah Lot. It will take around 10-15 min walk from the main entrance to Tanah Lot. There were lots of small stalls along the pathway to the beach side. Prices are always negotiable.
Tanah Lot means “Land in the Middle of the sea” in Balinese language. Located in Tabanan, about 20 km from Denpasar, the temple sits on a large offshore rock which has been shaped continuously over the years by the ocean tide.
Tanah Lot is claimed to …

Jimbaran is a must place to go in Bali. Ask anyone that have been to Bali. Let me say it again Jimbaran is a must place to go in Bali.
Jimbaran lies on the ‘neck’ of the southern peninsula in Bali and is widely known for the fresh seafood kiosks that are scattered along the beach. Diners select the live seafood that they wish to eat, and it is immediately prepared, generally grilled over a fire of coconut husks rather than charcoal.- Wikipedia
Going to Jimbaran for sunset beach side dinner was …

Trust me on this, it was not my idea having Chinese food in Kuta, BALI.
We were lurking around Kuta area and browsed through a few restaurants. The majority wanted to eat Chinese foods. I just had to follow.

We decided to dine at B Couple Bar. I had no idea its called B Couple Bar but this non-air conditioned place have a great live band there.

We ordered quite a number of dishes, half roast duck, fried calamari, stir fried bak choy, sze chuan beans and tofu.
The food in general was decent. …

My trip to BALI lately on March was memorable. Yet, I haven’t really post everything here. BALI is a food haven. They have so many lovely foods there. Not to mention the amazing beaches and the amazing architecture designs there.
The time when I was in BALI, it was in the midst of “NYEPI” celebration.
Nyepi is a Balinese “Day of Silence” that falls on Bali’s Lunar New Year (March 26, 2009). It is a day of silence, fasting, and meditation. The day following Nyepi is also celebrated as New year Gudi …

“Goa Gajah” or also known as Elephant Cave in English is located at Gianyar, BALI. Its somewhere near Ubud. Most of the travel agencies include this place for Ubud tour.
However if you want to travel cheap in Bali, my recommendation is to hire a van with driver which cost around 300,000 RP. Normally the driver can speaks fluent English. We usually tipped the driver because they don’t really earn much.

Built in the 9th century, it served as a sanctuary. The facade of the cave is a relief of various menacing creatures …
