Travel Moments: Turtles Mating Spotted at Turtle Bay, Redang Island, MALAYSIA
This one of the moments that when it happened without me. Rachel went to Redang Island a few years back with her buddies in an all girls trip and had a great time snorkeling around Turtle Bay. Luckily, Rachel is a good swimmer and she enjoys snorkeling without a life jacket, something which I couldn’t do.
There’s always a reason a place is called Turtle Bay, obviously there’s a lot of turtles. Well, it’s not by pure luck, so far I …

Pulau Dayang Bunting Marble Geopark, Langkawi, MALAYSIA
A few tourists asked me about Langkawi during our (Rachel and I) way back from Cambodia. It seems to be Langkawi is very popular with the European and the North American tourists. They seems to have a lot of interest and knowledge in Langkawi and Penang, maybe Tourism Malaysia did they part well there. Langkawi now, is very much different than it used to be. My first trip to Langkawi dated bac k to 1990s, where the tourist attractions were only the Mahsuri tomb …

Berjaya Air, 6 Hours Flight Delay Experience in Redang
It could be an amazing experience of Berjaya Redang Resort after a two nights stay there. However, the excitement turned ugly when we got told that our flight delayed to 4.30pm through our friends. Then it got delayed again until 7 pm. Well let me explain how it happened.
The flight from Kuala Lumpur to Redang was smooth. Kudos to them. However the return flight today was disappointing.
Our initial flight to fly from Redang to Kuala Lumpur with Berjaya Air was 12.30 …

Beras Basah Island, Langkawi, MALAYSIA
My previous trip to Langkawi really changed my perception towards the island. It really changed so much over the past decade. From a duty free island to now a more adventurous and fun island. The island hopping tour we paid, brought to this beautiful Beras Basah Island.
A direct translation of Beras Basah means wet rice. It’s one of the popular destination in Langkawi island. And example of Beras Basah Island or Pulau Beras Basah by Tourism Malaysia.
When we docked at the jetty we were quite surprised …

Our 2008 trip to Redang was a good one. It was actually Wilson’s first time to Redang Island. We didn’t stay at one of the top resorts, we opted for an average resort which was averagely good. Our package includes snorkeling trips to Redang Marine Park with the additional fee of RM 5 (US$ 1.8) only.
The island is well maintained, crowded by tourist but it was very clean. We were advised to snorkel around the island and it was indeed one of the best snorkeling site we’ve …

Bat Cave at Langkawi, MALAYSIA
Often when we talk about bat cave, the first thing that comes to our mind is Batman. Well, it is true that Batman has a bat cave. However, our country Malaysia also have our version of bat cave.
Located in Langkawi, the bat cave tour is usually packaged under the mangrove tour. Tour prices varies depending on how many person per boat and what type of boat hired. What I can say is we got ourselves quite a sweet deal. This was dated back in October last …

A Journey to the Underwater World, Langkawi
(Oct ‘08)-Undeniable one of the attractions in Langkawi, the Underwater World Langkawi. I went there before, many years ago when they were newly opened. Now, the place now expanded so much, I barely recognized it. There was an unpleasant thing happened in 2007, where hundreds of fish died of poisoning.
The entrance of Underwater World Langkawi. For Mykad holders (Malaysians), entrance fee was RM 28 for adults while foreigners were RM 38.
Even though there were a tragic incident a year before, there were a lot …

The top 2 pictures are Penang Island/ Pulau Pinang. Bottom 2 pictures are most likely Langkawi Island.
When I can’t sleep on the plane, admiring the clouds and saw the islands, took my camera and start snapping.
Pictures are photoshop a bit but there are more work can be done. Tone and color is not perfect yet.
How smalls are the islands from top. They are lovely aren’t they?

Fancy nice and cozy Italian restaurant in Langkawi? Located opposite of Langkawi Underwater World, there’s a little green sign very much visible from the main road. The funny thing about this Italian place is, its run by English couple. Well, of course I had this during my Langkawi trip on Oct 2008.
We went for a quick meal since we had plans for our dinner. We ordered Olive, Onion and Cheese Bread for starter. It was pretty good but I’m not a olive lover. Since we were in Langkawi, we ordered …

Langkawi GeoPark Cable Car Ride and Bird’s Eye View of Langkawi
“You must go and take the cable car!” – That was what my sister told me before I went to Langkawi. To tell you the truth, I have no idea what it was all about.
We went through the entrance, waited for 20 min for our ride and…
… it was magnificent… on our way up, I managed to zoom my old Sony Cybershot to this waterfall… Natural waterfall “untouched”…
I thought that was it but it was only the teaser, the …
