Phra Buddha Bharameedharm Chamruslok Temple, Kelantan: The Buddha Statue with Golden Lips
This is the hidden gem of Kelantan and Malaysia. It is the biggest sitting Buddha in South East Asia and it is located kilometers away from Kota Bahru, the capital of Islamic state of Kelantan. It is hard to believe that there are 3 beautiful and amazing Buddhist temples in Kelantan itself. They are the Chinese Beijing Mosque, the Sleeping Buddha at Wat Polithivan and the Sitting Buddha at Phra Buddha Bharameedharm Chamruslok Temple.

The Chinese Beijing Mosque of Rantau Panjang, Kelantan: Sultan Ismail Petra Silver Jubilee Mosque
The Malaysian state of Kelantan is located North East of Peninsula Malaysia. As an Islamic state, Kelantan to me is an unique place where culture and tradition is still preserved. Last week, I was there for a photo assignment. It is my second visit to Kelantan. I rented a car and I managed to tour around the state for 1 day. My colleague’s decision for not going to Kolok town in Thailand made us to detour. We …

Siem Reap Cambodia Day 3 Part Two: Sras Srang, Ta Prohm / Tomb Raider Temple, Ta Keo, Banteay Kdei, Prasat Kravan, Phnom Bakheng
Sras Srang
Please don’t mistaken Sras Srang as another temple in Angkor.
Sras Srang is an ancient manmade lake which is 800m by 400m. It was built by King Rajendravarman II in mid 10th century. Later, this lake was restored and enlarged by King Jayavarman VII in late 12th century.
Originally, there was a small shrine in the middle, but today it completely collapsed that we could only see its stone foundation in the dry season. Besides storing water …

Siem Reap Cambodia Day 3 Part One: Preah Khan, Neak Pean, Ta Som, Eastern Mebon, Pre Rup
We had fun so far in Siem Reap. This was our most adventurous and tiring travel trip we had in our life. However, day three was crazier than the two days combined. We planned to visit 10 temples on our last day in Siem Reap. Yes, ten temples! We had a new tour guide on the third day and he freaked out. Who doesn’t right?
At first we wanted to put everything together as one …

Sunset Fun at Bakheng Hill, Siam Reap, CAMBODIA
We never had so much fun exploring temples like we did in Siem Reap. It was our third day in Siam Reap and we ended the day with the sunset at Bakheng Hill. We ventured to 12 places on that day itself, the tour guide was amazed by our energies. He kept on telling us most of the temples are the same. I can’t blame him after 12 places as that day it was as hot as 42 degree Celsius, most people would …

Travel Tips for Angkor Wat, Siem Reap, Cambodia
I just came back from Angkor Wat a few days ago. Like many first timers, I booked my tour online before I reached Siam Reap. Well, sadly the tour that I had book, was exclusive of Angkor Wat. The reason being was I didn’t do much information about Angkor Wat.
The Real Angkor Wat?
There are more than dozens of temples in Siem Reap and Angkor Wat circuit. Be exact, book Angkor Wat (temple) tour rather than the big circuit tour which inclusive of many …

Lolei, Siem Reap Roluos Northernmost Temple, CAMBODIA
For the last few days, I visited 15 temples in Siem Reap. It was fun but tiring, I took heaps of pictures of the temples. It’s time to share it now. The first temple of the 15 temples I’m going to introduce, the Lolei.
Lolei is one of the 3 Roluos’ group of temples. It is built in late 9th century, and the remaining 2 temples of the Roluos group will be Preah Ko and Bakong.
Lolei is not one of the most popular temples to …

Tua Pek Kong Chinese Temple in Kuching, Sarawak, MALAYSIA
I almost forgot about my short trip in Kuching, Sarawak. Me and my wife Rachel went there for a weekend getaway. It was our first time going to Kuching, Sarawak.
We stayed in Tune Hotel Sarawak, strategically located opposite Hilton Hotel Kuching. Some of the tourist destinations such as Tua Pek Kong temple were within the walking distance from the hotel. Tua Pek Kong temple is one of the most popular Chinese temples in Kuching. It’s a must visit for tourists like us.

Cheng Hoon Teng Temple
Located in Melaka, many might not heard about this temple, some might not know the existence of it. Even I’ve been there for so many times didn’t know the rich history of this temple.

Cheng Hoon Teng was founded in the 1600s by the Chinese Kapitan Tay Kie Ki alias Tay Hong Yong. The temple it self is around 400 years old! Even today it looked …

Suphan Buri had quite a few string of surprises for us. One of the highlights of Suphan Buri was the Suphan Buri City Pillar Shine. Thank you, Tourism of Thailand Malaysia (TAT) for bringing us to this magnificent place.
Suphan Buri temple unlike other Thai temple, is very much influenced by Chinese culture. Though the built up area of this temple is not huge, but it looks grand by itself. The temple was built by Thai Chinese decendents, if not mistaken.
I will need a translation for this, will …

This place is quite scarce and its located at Suphan Buri. This visit was arranged by TAT (Tourism Authority of Thailand) back in last September. This was the 3rd day of our trip. After having our breakfast, we hopped to our van and we brought this temple in Suphan Buri.
When the sign reads Thai only, you know its not exposed to tourists yet. The sign should reads Wat Palaelaiwonwiharn. Even though it’s just a sign, but it was nicely done, look at the handwork.
The scene of the whole temple. …

Thank you Mr. Foo for inviting us (me and Rachel) for the Foo Clan 18th Anniversary Bash at Thean Hou Temple. It was my second time attending this event.
Like usual, the place was packed. It was a night of celebrations for the Foos and the non Foos like us. The Foo Clan was established 18 years ago. I believe it’s very good to uphold the Foos identity and image.
The Foo Clan is now spearheaded by its president, Datuk Dr. Foo S H. Datuk, is also the current president of Foo …
