Samsung Galaxy Camera Pictures on The Sun Daily Malaysia
I love photography and I started this hobby a few years ago. Hence, I owned quite a few cameras, ranging from weatherproof camera to compact camera, mirror-less camera, smart camera and full frame DSLR.
One of my favourite cameras of all is the Samsung Galaxy Camera. It is the most flexible camera in terms of weight, function and quality. It has been my traveling buddy since late last year.
On one of my latest media trip to South Australia, I only brought two cameras, …

The Legendary Melbourne Cup Makybe Diva Statue
Melbourne Cup is the most prestigious and most expensive “two mile” handicap in the world. It is marketed as “the race that stops the nation!” It is so huge, it is even a public holiday in Victoria for Melbourne Cup and I heard some companies will actually have a live viewing session in the office.

In the history of Melbourne Cup there could be only one legendary horse, she is British born Makybe Diva. The winner of Melbourne Cup in a record of three times …

We stayed a night on the junk booked via TravelMob.com. You can read our experience at Stay in a Junk in Halong Bay with TravelMob.com.

On our first day in Halong Bay, we visited the Sung Sot Cave. For your information, Sung Sot Cave  is the …

Halcony Japanese Street Performers at Gurney Drive
We were in Penang for a staycation for the weekend. What is staycation? Staycation = Stay + Vacaction and we had our staycation in Park Royal Hotel in Batu Ferringhi Penang.

As we ventured out for our own dinner with friends, we went to infamous Gurney Drive. It has been years since we ate in Gurney Drive even though I stayed in G Hotel twice last year. As usual, there were mountains of people in Gurney Drive but finding a table didn’t take us long.

Halo in Malaysia

Halo in Malaysia
It’s not Halo, the popular game but the sun halo phenomenon in Malaysia. As I was traveling in the thick jungle of Sarawak, the entourage stopped as someone spotted the sun halo.
The sun halo or the ‘rainbow around the sun’ effect is also known as 22 degree halo. From what I understand, it is caused by tiny ice crystals contained in the upper troposphere.

Sun halo is uncommon in Malaysia and even there are a number of sightings in recent years. If you wish to view the sun …

The Four Bronze Pigs of Adelaide
I just came back from Adelaide after a week of media trip in South Australia. The week had been spectacular and there will be stories of Port Lincoln and Kangaroo Island coming soon. Most of the days I stayed in Port Lincoln and Kangaroo Island and that left me little time in Adelaide.

Even though I didn’t stay long in Adelaide but I ran to something rather unusual, four bronze pigs. The four bronze pigs were uniquely displayed near the Rundle Mall. I am one of …

喫茶下下味亭 Review, Nara Japan
In our trip to Nara, Japan last year, we found a hidden gem in the land of the deer. It is a small restaurant by the name of 喫茶下下味亭. On our way back from visiting Todaiji Temple, we stumbled upon a small restaurant beside the Himuro Shrine Nara 氷室神社.

It is located on the first floor and we were greeted by the usual warmth welcome by the staffs there. It was cold outside and we were there for coffee. It has beautiful view of the main road of …

Lark Distillery Tasmania Single Malt Whisky
If you are a single malt whisky lover, you must visit this place when you are in Hobart Tasmania. Located at 14 Davey Street, Hobart , Lark Distillery was the first licensed distillery in Tasmania since 1839. It was established in 1992 to produce Australian malt whisky, rich in character with a big finish using Tasmanian ingredients.

I never visited any Australian malt whiskey companies before so it was interesting to know there is a hidden gem in Tasmania. In a proud country of wine producing, …
