This is might not the most popular attractions in Macau but definitely worth a mention. This is the statue of Guan Yin, the Goddess of Mercy in Taoism and it is located near the Cultural Center of Macau and also near the Macau Harbour.

The statue is beautifully clad with bronze and weight of an astounding 50 tons. It is 65 feet (20m) in height.

My tour guide told me that if you look carefully at the features at this beautiful Guan Yin, it has the resemblance of …

While listening on a local radioyesterday, there was a talk on how much does it cost for a trip of a lifetime to Antarctica. The answer was RM 150,000! I will not mention which travel agency or …

The Grand Old Lady, The First Oil Well
There is always a beginning. Same goes to our successful petroleum story in Malaysia. The first oil well is not dig by Malaysian own Petronas but by Dutch Oil company, Shell in 1910. The first oil well is discovered at the oil rich state of Sarawak in the small town of Miri.

The first oil well is still there and I was lucky enough to visit.

It is a state monument now and one of Miri’s places of interests. Shell also built Malaysia’s first oil …

The Best Halloumi Cheese in South Australia
I never had a halloumi cheese before until I visited South Australia last month. The Halloumi cheese is not your ordinary cheese and it is originated from Cyprus.
The cheese is a semi-hard, unripened brined cheese made from a mixture of goats and sheep milk and it has a high melting point so it can be fried or grilled.

I tried the pan fried halloumi cheese in Good Life Organic Pizza and I was impressed and later I found one cheese factory producing the top notch …

Last month, I visited South Australia on 8 days media trip with Tourism South Asia. Together with newspaper daily journalists, we explored Adelaide, Port Lincoln and Kangaroo Island. Some of these beautiful taken pictures are published on the newspaper thanks to my journalist friends. The first set was out with The Sun …
