Lee Sian Neo Neo Temple of Fertility
There are quite a number of old Chinese temples in Melaka. One of the most unique Chinese temples we found is the Lee Sian Neo Neo temple as it is the temple of fertility. We were told many people came to this temple to pray for fertility. It is believed that the temple housed the Chinese fertility god (hope someone can verify this).
Hidden in Jonker Street, the temple is popular among the locals. We were brought there by our good friend after they told …

The Enchanted Walk at Cradle Mountain – Lake St Clair National Park, Tasmania
I still remember watching the Midsummer Night’s Dream the movie more than 10 years ago where I was astonished by the beautiful enchanted forest. The movie is an adaptation of William Shakespeare’s play and it featured cast like Kevin Kline, Michelle Pfeiffer, Christian Bale, Callista Flockhart and many more. Even though the movie is not as popular as the play, the scenes of the enchanted forest were striking and unforgettable.
Never can I imagine that I could “revisit” the …

Daigoku-den Hall, Heijo Palace Site, Nara
It was our first time visiting Japan, our first time taking a train in Japan and our first time going to Nara from Osaka. There are always myths about the difficulty in traveling in Japan. That is so not true.
We survived 5 days in Japan without any guides and we traveled around without any problems. We do agree most Japanese don’t speak English (in Kansai) but they do understand the places we intend to go. Thus, most stations and maps have English and Chinese characters …

Siem Reap Cambodia Day 3 Part Two: Sras Srang, Ta Prohm / Tomb Raider Temple, Ta Keo, Banteay Kdei, Prasat Kravan, Phnom Bakheng
Sras Srang
Please don’t mistaken Sras Srang as another temple in Angkor.
Sras Srang is an ancient manmade lake which is 800m by 400m. It was built by King Rajendravarman II in mid 10th century. Later, this lake was restored and enlarged by King Jayavarman VII in late 12th century.
Originally, there was a small shrine in the middle, but today it completely collapsed that we could only see its stone foundation in the dry season. Besides storing water …
