Duck King at Restoran Ya Wang, Johor Bahru
It’s really hard to find good food in JB (Johor Bahru). Please name a few good food to eat other than Kacang Phool and Mee Rebus, if there is any. In one of my working trips to JB, I ate at this place once which is very popular for its roast duck.
The place is called Restoran Ya Wang. Ya Wang in Chinese Mandarin mean Duck King. It is located at No 28, Jalan Segget, Johor Bahru. It is just within the walking distance …

Restoran Uncle Meng, Shamelin Best Roast Chicken and Char Siew
I bet many who works in Taman Shamelin already knew this place. There is no better place to have the best roast chicken or char siew in Shamelin rather than Restoran Uncle Meng.
Also known as Meng Kee, it has established itself in the neighbourhood for years.
Meng Kee operates only for lunch time and the stall is open from 11.00 am.
The Char Siew or Caramelized Roast Pork is one of the best in town.
Roast to perfection, the char siew here melts …

It has been a while since we had a good Sunday breakfast. The last good one we had was in Seri Kembangan for dim sum. That was weeks ago. Yesterday morning, we decided to venture to a place that we haven’t visited before.
The ever popular Yut Kee. Located at Jalan Dang Wangi, Yut Kee has been around for years. Established at 1928, the place now is a whopping 82 years old and they are still going strong. The place itself is a pre-war building.
The interior is still the same as …

The best thing about Malaysia is the street foods. Sometimes the place might looks horrible but the food could be fantastic.
Last Sunday, after my Sunday morning walk in Bandar Tun Razak, we went to San Peng Market for breakfast. To be exact, at Jalan Merlimau, San Peng. It was my very first time to San Peng, seriously.
As we parked our car, walking towards the market, we saw a “siew yuk” (roast pork) stall packed with people. Its located just opposite the market. Wife Rachel told me the stall has …

Where to eat after clubbing at wee hours? Seriously, at 2 am or 3am, where to eat in KL? I mean really good food. Thanks to my client, I found this place.
This is a real street food. Need to sit at roadside and park at the roadside. The roadside was crowded with double park cars, just moments for the police patrol car to chase the double parkers away.
We sat one of the tables without light. We were in complete darkness. The waiter came really fast and took our orders. It …

There are many amazing food places in Cheras. Restoran BBQ Kong Meng is one of them. For this, they are famous with their roast duck.
Located in Taman Maju Jaya, Cheras, this place is quite isolated (Map below). Yet, it’s always packed during lunch time. Its only for one reason. The Roast Duck.
I went there with my colleagues a few weeks ago as they never tried it before even its nearby my office. Upon reaching there, the place starting to be crowded. We managed to grab a table and made …

The last visit I went to Canton-I was pretty good. Since Jason wanted to try it out so bad, we went for it at The Gardens.
We quickly got ourselves a nice seat. The waitresses there were attentive. Like the One Utama outlet, the designs were similar. It took a while to figure out what to eat since we tried some of the stuffs last time around.
I ordered Char Siew and Siew Yuk wantan noodle. One thing in particular I want to highlight is the wantan noodle. Even …

The first thing they saw me and they asked “Are you a reporter?” I was carrying my DSLR and I laughed and said no. Then, they told me that a reporter came and proudly showed their large newspaper cutting.
Located opposite Pudu Plaza, this little stall had been around for years. When I saw there’s so many chickens hanging in his stall, I knew this stall must be good.
Quickly, we ordered 3 persons Duck, Chicken, Char Siew and Siew Yuk combo. The duck came first, and it was …

A weekend with a lunch. A few of us were looking for a lunch and Jui Wan told us that Ying Ker Lou was pretty good. It was the first of me dining here.
I ordered one of my favourite dish, “Mui Choy Kau Yuk”, Pork and vege with sauce. This dish was good. Loved it. The process of making “kau yuk” is not simple. To get the soft tender meat of pork to blend with the sauce is not an easy task. I loved this one, 2nd …
