My first visit to Redang Island few months back was a good one. Like many first timers, I did a google search for which best value resort to stay in Redang. I chose Redang Beach Resort. For the price I’ve paid, I expect nothing spectacular from it.
We were given a few minutes walk from the small little jetty on the island as I didn’t expect anything from it…
But from the way we look at it, I knew the resort was good….
The canteen, 3 plus 1 snack meal a day… One BBQ dinner with lovely food…

From the resort overlooks the lovely beach and sea…
The service was good, and the rooms were clean. Air conditioned with water heater without TV though. Individual safety box in the room also provided as we were always out on sea.
The resort is value for money and foods served were pretty fairly good. Decent room and snorkelling tour provided by resort was good either. Cheeky tour guide who provided the laughs for everyone. No complains and I will go back to this resort again.

So how much did you paid for the room?
Less than RM 500 per pax (3 days 2 nights) inclusive of 2 nights of staying and meals. One of the dinner must be BBQ. Price also inclusive of snorkeling and gear.

I have planned to go to this beach resort in Mid of this April 2010,
How is the service and facilities there, would you suggest any preparationos from before reaching there.
I will be reaching Kuala Terenguan by Bus on Friday morning, so do they provide Jetty boat easily, how do i identify in which boat to goto to reach the resort?

The last time around, the resort had someone on the jetty to look for us. Please do call them if they still provide the same arrangements.
i am just back from Redang Island, the most beautiful island. i stayed at Redang Beach Resort and this was my Ist time to stay in such a low quality, filthy resort. Believe me, the word resort doesn’t suit this dirty, cheap place. the prices are like star resorts and when i went there i was shocked. I took the deluxe room whose washrooms are all equipped with veryyy old stuff. Room was just okay. They gather clients saying deluxe rooms have privacy. But u could hear noises from nearby rooms all the time. The food was WORST (may be for Chinese it was ok, bcoz they can eat anyyything)I was not able to find a single (unbroken) cup to have tea or coffee out of 100 cups. All crockery was rubbish. The management was rude like most of Chinese, and they treated their guests as if they were school going children and must follow full time table. I advice all foreigners not to stay with this resort esp with package. Only room (not standard) could be taken, and eat at Laguna Resort as its near by.
It is sad that such things happened to you. Chinese or not, that is not the point. Pointing out a race will not sort out the problems. It’s good to have such genuine review on the place. If they never rectify their services, I doubt that there will be repeating customers.
I hope you understand that it’s not nice to be racist, regardless what race you are. I had problems with Caucasians and other races before. It’s not a race problem, its an attitude problem.
