A weekend with a lunch. A few of us were looking for a lunch and Jui Wan told us that Ying Ker Lou was pretty good. It was the first of me dining here.
I ordered one of my favourite dish, “Mui Choy Kau Yuk”, Pork and vege with sauce. This dish was good. Loved it. The process of making “kau yuk” is not simple. To get the soft tender meat of pork to blend with the sauce is not an easy task. I loved this one, 2nd time I mentioned?
We then ordered Claypot Tau fu with Minced Meat and Egg. This dish was okay. Good taste.
Vege with “Siew Yuk” (roast pork). This dish is not bad.
We ordered wrongly a dish which came out to be Fried Pork Slices. This is ordinary. However, you can tell that the meat are properly marinated and even though its fried, the taste is there.
We loved the food there. Portion was small for most of the dishes.
Per pax came about RM 20-30. A felt its a bit pricy given the size of the portion. Food was definitely good. Service was good also. There are a lot of other dishes that yet we try. I don’t really mind going back there for other dishes.
