ORIS RAID: Kuala Lumpur – Bangkok 2010 Preview: A Classic Car Race of MALAYSIA

To level the playing field for all vehicles entered, Vintage ( up to 1949 ) vehicles will be flagged off FIRST, according to their age in 3 minutes interval on each starting day followed by CLASSIC and then lastly the Special Interest,

Vehicles classified under the Special Interest group (1986 upwards) will enjoy a penalty of -25 (minus 25) from the SCORE on starting.

Teams with the highest SCORE remaining in Bangkok will be the winners.

Guests of honour of the day were Prof Datuk Dr. Mohd Mydin Mohd Musa, President of PPM along with Mr. Raymond Tan, General Manager of ORIS (Swiss Prestige Sdn. Bhd.) and Mr. Wiboon Nimitrwanich, Director of Tourism Authority of Thailand, TAT-KL.

The President of the Royal Malaysia Vintage & Classic Car Club ( RMVCC ), Yang Amat Mulia Tengku Dato’ Sri Adnan bin Tengku Besar Burhannuddin   made a special appearance by dropping by the launch and even took up one of the limited edition ORIS Raid Chronograph watch for himself while the 1^st watch bearing the serial number 018 goes to Dato’ Hj Mohd Amin, owner of the Rolls Royce Corniche that was unveiled in Lot 10 two weeks ago, making him the 1^st participants who have sign up and taking the competition number ONE (1).

PPM will be expecting around 30~40 participating teams and will be firming up Official hotels and other sponsors very soon.

PPM hope to work hand in hand with all the Malaysian vintage and Classic car clubs to make this event THE CLASSIC CAR race of Malaysia.
