  2. I’m an ardent Harimau Malaya supporter. I really think the Jln.Besar Stadium is not fit at all to host a FIFA World Cup Qualifier and let alone a mouth-watering football match between two huge rivals. Jln Besar is a stopgap measure for Singapore FA (FAS) since the main national stadium is currently being rebuilt. You can’t held a dream football match in a mere 6,000 capacity stadium. Extremely small for a FIFA-level match. Imagine if France vs Italy in San Marino Stadium? I suggest FAS/FAM to appeal to FIFA and relocate this match to the Larkin Stadium, Johor Bahru. Larkin has 30,000 capacity and currently in good condition. Set a condition by giving 70% or 80% ticket allocation to S’poreans and the remaining to M’sians since S’pore is the host/home team for the 1st leg match. This work to the advantage of both teams especially to S’poreans. Remember, Larkin Stadium already met FIFA criterias – Hosted England’s group matches in 1997 World Youth Cup and the 1998 World Cup Asian Zone Play-Off Qualifier between Japan and Iran. Relocation to Larkin Stadium is the most viable solution and can overcome all the inconvenience.

    1. Hi Romy,

I am going to miss the second leg in Malaysia as I will be traveling again. However, I will be at all the 3 English teams with Harimau Malaya. I thought Harimau Malaya didn’t play that well against Taiwan but we lucky to scrap through. I hope Harimau Malaya will give Singapore a good game for the 2nd round.
