Brotzeit Bier Bar and Restaurant Review, Sunway Pyramid

If you are looking for a German restaurant that is not so traditional, young, trendy and energetic, look for Brotzeit Bier Bar and Restaurant. They have two outlets in Malaysia, one in Mid Valley and one in Sunway Pyramid.

I went to the Sunway Pyramid outlet since it is near to my house. The restaurant is easy to spot, located outdoor beside Starbucks Sunway Pyramid Old Wing main entrance.

On top of the traditional German food that you loved, the restaurant offers a new range of dishes in their new exciting menu. There I met up with new friends, enjoying German finest beers and good food.

Let’s move to Starters

Salat mit Schafskäse/ Feta Salad.

Feta Salad is a mixed salad with feta cheese, red bell peppers, semi-dried tomatoes, onions, olives, garlic, croutons and sour cream. Regular: RM38 / Small: RM23. I fell in love with feta cheese when I first had it in the region of Yarra Valley Australia last year. Loved how the mix the combination together with feta cheese and not forgetting the colours.

Brotzeitflade Spinat / Spinach Pizza (RM30)
Tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, feta cheese, vine ripened tomatoes, baby spinach, onions, garlic and button mushrooms are the toppings of this marvellous pizza. Thin crust and baked into perfection.

Schupfnudeln/ Bavarian Potato Dumpling & Spinach (RM32)
I had many types of dumpling and to be frank, potato dumpling was my first one. The finger shaped potato dumplings served with fresh spinach, mushrooms, semi-dried tomatoes, German hard cheese shavings & balsamic glace.

With friend and beer along, we didn’t realize we move on to our mains.

Bavarian Style Pork Ribs (Original/Honey)
Succulent pork ribs marinated with a our secret spices and roasted to perfection. It was served with sauerkraut and potato salad. RM55(half) RM89(Full) Remember to pour the sauce onto the pork ribs before you start. Trust me and you won’t regret.

Pork Roast/ Schweinebraten
Bavarian marinated roasted pork collar slices in creamy gravy, accompanied with bacon beans and napkin dumpling (RM38). If you loved pork, you love this especially the bacon beans. Glorious pork!

Cordon Bleu
Breaded escalope of pork stuffed with fine leg ham and melted cheese (RM38). I still remember my craze on cordon blue 15 years ago.

I had it almost every week as I always love how the melted cheese inside the fine leg ham. Most of them served this with chicken but I loved it with pork even though the original is with veal.

Striplion Steak / Rindersteak
Grain fed striploin steak with mushroom- peppercorn sauce, garden vegetables and your choice of potato (RM 52). If you prefer striplion steak over pork collar slices, this is the one for you. Grilled to perfection, it is hard for me to forget the juicy pork meat.

Now, what is for dessert?

Apfelküchle/ Apple Fritters
Slices of green apple in fluffy dough, turned cinnamon sugar and served with vanilla ice cream. If you want a light dessert, this fits well.

White Crispy Chocolate Lava Cake (RM20)

How about sinful chocolate lava cake to end a feast of delicious dinner?

This was simply beautiful.
