Fresca Mexican Kitchen & Bar The Gardens Mid Valley

Fresca Mexican Kitchen & Bar The Gardens Mid Valley

We have tried a few Mexican restaurants in Klang Valley for the past few years but most of them are Tex-Mex based food and we were looking for an authentic Mexican cuisine. Our prayers were answered at this brand new restaurant in The Gardens, Mid Valley.

Located at the Ground Floor of The Gardens, there is a new Mexican restaurant in town. It is called the Fresca Mexican Kitchen. Opened a few months ago, we have read raving reviews about this Mexican restaurant.
Fresca Mexican Kitchen Interior

The restaurant offers a very comfortable ambience. The environment was dim with warm lights, music was not too loud and it is an ideal place for conversations. Coincidently there was a school reunion and they were entertained by the in-house live band.

Fresca Mexican Tacos Ensenada

Tacos Ensenada (Beer battered fish tacos)

The dinner started off with Tacos Ensenada (Beer battered fish tacos) . Tacos are very popular in Mexico and North America and Fresca’s version comes with deep fried battered fish. Interesting combination of deep fried fish with cold coleslaw but it went well with the sauce. This was addictive.
Fresca Mexican Nachos Grande
Nachos Grande with minced beef

Everytime when someone mentions nachos, it reminds me of the Jack Black’s flick of “Nacho Libre”. We used to cook nachos during our time in Australia as it was simple and delicious. Nachos Grande means large nachos and the ingredients were refried beans, Monterey Jack cheese, ground beef, Jalapeno Chiles, guacamole, cheese and sour cream. They also offers a vegetarian version of Nachos Grande.

Fresca Mexican Sopa de Tortilla

Fresca Mexican Enchiladas Rojas
The Enchiladas Rojas

The Enchiladas Rojas, yes another popular food in Mexico and North America, the enchiladas. The platter came with soft corn tortillas, rolled with chicken or beef in a special marinade, covered with melted cheese and red chili sauce and served with guacamole, refried beans and Mexican red rice. I’m never a big fan of enchiladas to be frank, Rachel loved this and I begged to differ. It was slightly too spicy for my liking.
Fresca Mexican Jalapeno Poppers
Jalapeno Poppers

The name Jalapeno Poppers sounds like a fun food. Jalapeno is Mexican chili similar to our Malaysian local chili but lesser in spicy. When we you bite the popper, the cheese inside will burst out of the jalapeno and it created a cheesy sensation. Since the Jalapeno was not that hot, this was a fun food to have.

Fresca Mexican Camarones al Ajillo

Camarones al Ajillo

Camarones al Ajillo was Tiger prawns sauteed with fragrant Guajillo Chiles and garlic and taken with flour tortillas. Tortillas are similar with our local popiah wrappers but this is made from flour. Tortillas had been used in many fast food outlets as wrappers such as KFC. The prawns were fragrantly cooked with garlic and Guajillo and this was my favourite.

Fresca Mexican Carne Asada a la Tampiquena

Carne Asada a la Tampiquena

Carne Asada a la Tampiquena, don’t ask me to pronounce it, I’m not good in that. In layman terms, it was grilled tenderloin the Mexican way, with onions, Mexican red rice, enchiladas verdes and refried beans. As I mentioned earlier I am not an enchiladas person but I do crave for the grilled tenderloin. Mexican way or not, it was well grilled.
Fresca Mexican Churros

Mini churros with chocolate

I love churros and I still remember I had one of the best churros in Buenos Aires Argentina. While churros might be a completely stranger to our locals, this delicacy is believed to be origin from Mexico but I still believed it is originated from Spain. Fresca’s version was mini sized churros powdered with sugar and best taken with the chocolate dipping. A plate of this could not satisfy me.

Fresca Mexican Monte Alban
Monte Alban Mezcal with Agave worm

Monte Alban Mezcal with Agave worm was a rare sight. We were told this was hard to find in Malaysia and they directly imported it from Mexico. We were told it will be extremely lucky for the person who took it with the Agave worm. The drink was a bit drink, strong (40% alcohol) but it was a pleasant drink.
Fresca Mexican Hibiki 17 yrs
Hibiki Single Malt 17 years old

I won’t forgive myself if I didn’t order the Hibiki Single Malt 17 years old whiskey. Since I was taught to drink single malt whiskey, thanks to Glenmorangie, I started to appreciate single malt whiskeys. Some of the finest are Japanese whiskeys such as Yamazaki and Hibiki are a few to mention.

So it was a night of a feast of Mexican food, lovely liquors and live band music, dinning at Fresca Mexican Kitchen was cozy and comfortable. Well, if you fancy Mexican food, this is the real deal. Try out their food and do give a comment or two if possible about your dining experiences.

  1. The churos here are certainly amazing. My all time fave.

I wished their cocktails were consistently consistent but perhaps my next return trip will be the whiskies than cocktails…and definitely the churos and the Jalapeno poppers!

So what is good On-Page SEO?First your keyword must appear in the title. Then it must appear in the URL.You have to optimize your keyword and make sure that it has a nice keyword density of 3-5% in your article with relevant LSI (Latent Semantic Indexing). Then you should spread all H1,H2,H3 tags in your article.Your Keyword should appear in your first paragraph and in the last sentence of the page. You should have relevant usage of Bold and italics of your keyword. There should be one internal link to a page on your blog and you should have one image with an alt tag that has your keyword….wait there’s even more Now what if i told you there was a simple WordPress plugin that does all the On-Page SEO, and automatically for you?
