Yesterday, I had a good conversation with my sister. The topic was where to find a good Hi-Tea in Kuala Lumpur? Well, there are a few places that came in to my mind, Seri Carcosa and Hilton Hotel Kuala Lumpur.

A fortnight ago, I was having my French Hi-Tea with my friends at Cosmos Lounge Hilton Kuala Lumpur. Trust me, if you have a passion for delectable dessert and pastries, make a date with them at Hilton Kuala Lumpur. Every weekend from 8th September 2012 onwards, they will be serving up a luxurious French high tea featuring a lavish selection of crepes, pastries, cakes & macaroons.

Cosmos Lounge is located at the lobby of Hilton KL. The place was very comfortable, bright with high ceiling and soothing music which was a great combination for a Hi-Tea. So what was available for the French Hi Tea?

Crème Brulee Pistachio
They served a selection of wonderful sweet delights like Hazelnut Cream Éclairs, Mille Feuille, Crème Brulee Pistachio, Almond Meringue, Apple Tart Tatin, Praline Cream Cake and much more. Also, there are delectable Petit Fours such as Large Biscotti, Tuile Aux Amande, Raspberry Financier, Nougat, just name a few.

Also on hand will be the team of expert pâtissier chef lead by Chef Benoit Chargy, who will be preparing a selection of Crêpe Sarasin ala minute with different savoury fillings that include Smoked Salmon & Crème Fraiche, Tomato Mozzarella with Pesto sauce and Wild Sautéed Mushroom. Or if you prefer, a classic Crêpe Suzette with it delicious caramelised orange tangerine sauce done to perfection. Other savoury offerings include traditional like Smoked Duck Rillette ala Crouton, Chicken Terrine in Sage Jelly and a selection of fine cheese and freshly baked breads.
When you have a chef who cooks for you on request, you have fresh and warm food that you can’t complain.

For those who adore macaroons, they will be offering a wide variety of macaroons with flavours such as lavender, hazelnut, pistachio, chocolate and many more. In additional, you’ll get a chance to see how these delicate sweet treats are made as our team of talented chef will be making them right before your very eyes. I like how they placed the macaroons, they reminded me of lollypops.

End on a prefect note with a selection of fine Ronnefeldt tea that include signature black teas like Earl Grey, Black Assam, Orange Pekoe, Lapsang ; fruit teas wild cherry, Strawberry Fields, Green teas, Herbal Infusions and more.

The French Hi-Tea at Cosmo Lounge, Available only on Saturday and Sunday, is priced at RM109++ per person. Hilton Premier Club Cardholders enjoy discounts of 20% off total bill.
