Crackling Roast Pork in iSetan KLCC Supermarket

This might not be the best roast in the city but it is good enough for me to write about it. So far there are only a few who blogged about this. Maybe it is not popular enough or it is weird to buy crackling roast pork in supermarket.

The story goes like this. My friends told me about this roast pork some time ago until they brought me to buy it at the supermarket in iSetan KLCC. You heard me right! It is available inside the new supermarket of iSetan KLCC Non Halal section. It is sold by gram so a rack of roast pork should be less than RM 15.00 per rack.

I bought a pack of roast pork for RM 13.28 for RM 6.99 per 100 gram. It is not the cheapest but it is not the most expensive as well. The popular ones are selling as much as RM 15.00 per 100 gram which is almost double of what iSetan KLCC supermarket is selling.

When the butcher slices that piece of roast pork, you can hear the crackling sound of the crispy skin.

So how is the verdict? The meat is tender and the skin is crispy. It is unbelievable to purchase such good quality of Chinese roast pork in a supermarket of Japanese chain. Remember what I’ve mentioned, it is at the Non-Halal section of iSetan KLCC. You won’t be disappointed.
