Oyster Omelette is a darling for locals in Melaka. Even though it is not as popular as it used to be, oyster omelette is a popular among the locals.
The local’s version is starchy and uses smaller oysters. Thus, it is usually very fragrant and it goes well with chilli sauce. During the old days, duck eggs are used but due to the cost, chicken eggs are used now.
The most popular oyster omelette stall is the Jalan Bunga Raya’s night stall. It has been there for decades with at least 50 years and counting. In the old days, you have to wait at least an hour for your oyster omelette and we usually ordered at least five to six packs of them. To be frank, since the new generation took over the business, the taste of the oyster omelette is not as good as it used to be but they remained popular due to its history.

These are not the good melaka belachans. The true blue ones are a large pink ball. These dark pieces are more Penang style.
Ah Boy Asam Fish near Pasar Borong very famous. However, the owner is not honest. When their business in the shop is pack, they tried to put small plate meal into big plate and sold as big plate price. Please be aware when you visit next time.
