Jamie Oliver’s Fabulous Feasts Bicester Village

Bicester Village is located near Oxford and approx. one hour drive from London. It is a premium brand outlet “village” offering high value fashion brands at discounted prices. Compare to the retail stores, some brands offer more than 60% discount and that’s why Bicester Village is always packed with locals and tourists looking for some good deals.

There are a few restaurants in Bicester Village and of course Starbucks is there but we were more curious for Jamie Oliver’s Fabulous Feasts. Jamie Oliver’s restaurants are almost everywhere in UK but coming from Malaysia, we were excited to try this restaurant.

As it is located outdoor and tables are so limited, most customers will take away the food. Weather in UK is unpredictable as it got really cold during the tail of summer in August.

Looking at the menu, we ordered the ones with “fancy names” such as New York style Pastrami Bap, Slaw Dog with soused onion, cabbage and parsley and British Smoky Bacon Muffin. We also ordered the Classic Dog with Mustard Onions and Sauce.

New York style Pastrami Bap

New York style Pastrami Bap turns out something different than we imagine. It comes with granary bap with horseradish slaw, crunchy lettuce, peppery beef pastrami and gherkin. There is nothing to shout about for this probably because this is healthy food.

British Smoky Bacon Muffin

British Smoky Bacon Muffin comes with toasted muffin, free range egg, smoked bacon loin. Another healthy food as we were expecting big fat bacons as we clearly didn’t read properly it was smoked bacon loin.

Slaw Dog with soused onion, cabbage and parsley & Classic Dog with Mustard Onions and Sauce

Slaw Dog with soused onion, cabbage and parsley. Basically it is slaw dog with the green and toasted bun.

Classic Dog with Mustard Onions and Sauce. This is probably the best of all the food we ordered and it is simple food. It was nothing extraordinary but comfort food.

Jamie Oliver’s Fabulous Feasts is just ordinary healthy food with no surprises. With the name Jamie Oliver, the price of the food is higher than average. Most of food is above £5 including the bangers at £6.50 each.

After the food, it was back to more shopping and scouting for great bargains. We didn’t miss the food but the shopping in Bicester Village. Not a good first impression for Jamie Oliver’s Fabulous Feasts.
