Kuantan Road Curry Mee Genting Café

This is another hidden gem in Penang. The coffee shop is called Kedai Kopi Genting Café and it is located at Lorong Delima 3, Island Glades Penang.

There is one famous chee cheong fun stall famous for its peanut butter sauce but at the time we went there it was sold out so we went to order another popular food, Kuantan Road Curry Mee.

The curry mee comes with bee hoon, sliced cuttle fish, tofu pok, coagulated pig’s blood, cockles and generous amount of shrimp paste. Penang’s version is different than Ipoh and Kuala Lumpur’s version of curry mee especially with the inclusion of coagulated pig’s blood. However, this is still taste good and worth my trip enduring the jam and having difficulty finding parking in this area.

You can find other good local food in this café such as Chee Cheong Fun, Muar Chee and Hokkien Char.
