Super Aroma Seafood Restaurant is one of the seafood restaurants that my friends usually go for crabs as they are popular with fresh crabs. The restaurant is located at 40 Jalan BM ½, Taman Bukit Mayang Emas near Aman Suria.

You can easily spot the restaurant with its yellow light box sign board. The restaurant is fully air conditioned and there are limited tables. Sometimes the restaurant is quite packed so to be safe, it is better to call first before you visit the restaurant.

Fried Mee Hoon with La La

Fried Mee Hoon with La La. This type of mee hoon is called “seng chou mai” in Cantonese and this version stir fried with la la (a type of clam) is quite popular with seafood restaurants in Kuala Selangor (and I am sure in many other seafood restaurants). Basically it is fried mee hoon with the addition of la la but la la usually will shrink to small pieces. The mee hoon is stir fried to perfection, not too dry and you can definitely taste the “wok hei”.

Roast Chicken

Roast Chicken is one of their signature dishes but the taste is nothing special to shout about. Maybe is the tenderness of the chicken but I do not find it to be extraordinary.

Spicy and Sour Crab

As I mentioned earlier, this restaurant is popular with its fresh crabs. They have a few styles of cooking with crabs and one of them is Sweet and Sour Crab. The reason we ordered this also because we can dip the fried mantou (Chinese bun) onto the sour and spicy gravy.

The crab is cooked with sour and spicy gravy and you can’t complain about the taste. The crab is fresh and juicy and I am sure you don’t mind getting your hands dirty on this dish.

Salted Duck Egg Crab

Salted Duck Egg Crab is the ultimate sinful way to cook with crabs. If you want to count your calories, don’t bother ordering this or enjoy this first and worry about it later. Crab is stir fried with salted duck egg with curry leaves and chopped chilli. They are very generous with the salted duck egg and don’t tell them that too or else next time the salted duck egg could be lesser. How is the taste of this? You will be probably licking your fingers while having it.

Even though Chinese loves salted duck egg but Westerners or Caucasians find the taste weird except the special few.

Overall the food is good and the price is slightly on the high side. We do not do justice to the crabs for ordering the version of sour and spicy and salted duck egg. You can order the steamed crabs with egg so you can indulge truthfully on the freshness of the crabs.

Please take note that finding a park in this area could be troublesome and pictures are taken with Samsung Galaxy Mega (yes, the big phone).
