Restoran Kari Kepala Ikan Chong Hin or Chong Hin Fish Head Curry Restaurant is located at Seri Kembangan. The strange thing is it is a non-halal restaurant so why bother the long name? Anyways, I was there for dinner with my family sometime ago as we were in Seri Kembangan area and the restaurant was recommended by family friends.
The restaurant is located at No 2, Ground Floor, Jalan SP 2/2, Serdang Perdana and it is a corner lot restaurant. The sign is in red colour and it is so huge, it can be spotted from far. It is a typical Chinese restaurant, no fancy décor and air conditioned.
Sweet and Sour Pork
Sweet and Sour Pork is probably the most common dish to order in Chinese restaurant. Their sweet and sour pork is good actually just a little too dry for my liking. The pork is deep fried to perfection, the meat is still tender and the taste is quite balanced but they are just a little stingy on the sauce.
Salted Duck Egg Fried Calamari
Salted Duck Egg Fried Calamari is probably not what is written in the menu and maybe it is called salted egg squid or something. This is well done. I love how they deep fry the calamari to perfection and stir fried it will salted duck egg. Put the calories aside you will enjoy it.
Signature Beancurd
Signature Beancurd is something light to consider. I love the soft texture of the beancurd and topped with fried shallots and chopped spring onion.
Steamed Fish with Ginger
Steamed Fish with Ginger is the highlight of the restaurant. Most of the tables order the steamed fish rather than the curry fish. The fish is steamed to perfection and it is the best way to the taste fish.
Overall, the food is simple and nice. Comfort food and affordable pricing, I don’t mind coming back again.
