If you are going to Adelaide and not visiting Kangaroo Island, you will be making the biggest mistake in your life. Many enjoy traveling to Kangaroo Island for a day trip but trust me you should stay at least one or two nights.

One of the places you should visit in Kangaroo Island is Flinders Chase National Park. You can find the Remarkable Rocks and the Admirals Arch in this national park.

Admirals Arch is one of the most impressive and unusual natural landmarks in Australia. This iconic rock bridge took thousands of years of erosion to create and this is located near the Cape du Couedic Lighthouse on the island’s southwest coast.

The wooden boardwalk built to lead the visitors to this arch. The view here is spectacular and you will be greeted with the strong winds from the sea.

The arch is created by weathering and erosion sculpting that takes thousands of years. The stalactites of the Remarkable Rocks took thousands of years to form to its present state. The viewing platform is built for tourists to have the best view of the Admirals Arch.

There are residents in Admirals Arch and they are the colony of New Zealand fur-seals. You can spot them on the rock platforms or swimming around the viewing platforms and boardwalk.

It is natural to see fur-seal pups playing and swimming near the arch. Expect to spend at least one hour here just to experience the view and the breeze. When I was there, it was very windy and the view is breathtaking.

This is one of the most memorable places in Australia I visited so far. If you ask me to go back there, yes I will.

Kangaroo Island is located in South Australia and you can fly to Kangaroo Island from Adelaide. The best way to fly to Adelaide from Malaysia is to fly direct to Adelaide from Kuala Lumpur with Malaysia Airlines.
