Emerald Pool and Blue Pool Krabi Thailand

The emerald pool and blue pool is located at the lowland forest of Khao Nor Juji. It is best to visit the pool in the morning or late afternoon. It can be very hot during noon.

The entrance fees for foreign tourists are 200 Baht for adult, 100 Baht for children. It is common for foreign tourists to pay more in entrance fees in Thailand and also in Malaysia. It is not discrimination but how the tourism works in this region.

It will be a brisk walk from the entrance to the emerald pool. Since it is in the jungle, you need to walk into the jungle and expect to walk for 20 to 30 min before you reach the emerald pool.

During my visit to the pool last year during the hot season (April to August), the water level is lower than expected and it was quite dried up. On usual days, the water level is higher and you can see more water flowing from the top of the hill.

The emerald pool was quite packed with local and foreign tourists. Since the emerald pool is not that deep, please do attempt to jump as you will get hurt and might hurt others.

You can find many families and couples relaxing in this pool especially the local kids.

The most unique thing about this pool is the natural emerald colour of the water. Even though it is quite visible during noon, the colour will be more prominent during dawn.

After visiting the emerald pool, walk further and you will be greeted with the blue pool.

The colour of the pool here is naturally blue and this is the natural beauty of Krabi.

It could be very hot during day time so please bring your own water, towels and clothes too. Please do not litter around and keep the place clean.
