Taiwanese Bubble Tea KOI to open in Malaysia
The Taiwanese bubble tea war will be starting soon. It will be Chatime vs Tea Live and KOI will join the fight. KOI is a Taiwanese bubble tea brand which is very popular in Singapore. This is their 10th anniversary in Singapore and finally they enter the Malaysian market for the first time.
This is not a rumour as their first outlet is opening soon in 1 Utama Shopping Mall. It is currently under renovation in Lower Ground 1 Utama New Wing and they have already started their official Facebook page for Malaysia.
We thought the trend of Taiwanese bubble tea is waning until the drama unfold in this couple of months due to the termination of Chatime Malaysia under Loob Holdings. Bryan of Loob Holdings then created Tea Live and recently La Kaffa (master franchiser of Chatime) appointed a local company to reopen Chatime. Now, it will be KOI vs Tea Live vs Chatime in a three corner Taiwanese bubble tea fight.
