Coca Cola Collectors Fair 2017 Berjaya Times Square Malaysia
As a ‘retired’ Coca Cola Collector, I visited the Coca Cola Collectors Fair 2017 for the first time at Berjaya Times Square. This is the 7th anniversary of Coca Cola Collectors Fair supported by a group passionate Coca Cola collectors and there were 62 collectors from Malaysia and all over the world.
We met many Coca Cola collectors and some of them flew in from Hong Kong, Indonesia, Korea, Philippines, Thailand, Singapore, Spain and Turkey to support and join the fun of Coca Cola Collectors Fair 2017.
There are many interesting Coca Cola memorabilia on display and some of them are available for trade or sell and there are many vintage stuffs at the fair. What is interesting is the Coca Cola memorabilia brought by the International Coca Cola collectors such as the hand painted porcelain Coca Cola bottles and also the prototype Coca Cola bottles as well as limited edition Coca Cola memorabilia from around the world.
I stopped collecting Coca Cola for over 15 years and met some of the old retired Coca Cola collectors who inspired me to start my collection almost 20 years ago. Even I stopped actively collecting Coca Cola items but I did spend a bit getting some of the old Coca Cola cans as well as some of the memorabilia.
They have auction on a few Coca Cola prototype bottles which is the one and only in the world. Well, the money from the auction will go to charity and the response was really good. Watch the videos.
I hope to participate next year’s Coca Cola Collectors Fair if they allowed me to and if I am not traveling.
Coca-Cola first arrived in what was then Malaya in 1936 and today Malaysia serves as the Halal production hub for beverages that are exported to Singapore and Brunei as well.
The first Coca-Cola Collectors Fair in Malaysia was held in 2011 and it is held annually in conjunction with Coca-Cola Founders Day on 8 May.
I will showcase my dedicated Coca Cola collection room once I cleaned up the mess.
