Now, there is something fun to do in Hatyai this weekend. For those are traveling to Hatyai you can check out the Hatyai International Balloon Festival 2017.

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and Hat Yai City Municipality are gearing up for the third International Balloon Festival which will take place from 5-7 May 2017. Visitors will be able to see 15 fancy balloons from 13 countries, including Germany, Turkey and South Korea as well as various entertainment performances throughout the three days festival.

Director of the TTAT’s Hat Yai Office, Panu Woramit said the event was expected to draw more than 100,000 people and generate over 100 million baht in expenditure. Soldiers, police and the administrative sector will join forces to ensure security for the event-goers. The third International Balloon Festival will be held at Jiranakorn Stadium in Hat Yai district from 5th to 7th May.
