For our Singaporean friends, you don’t need to travel to Malaysia or Thailand for A&W anymore. A&W restaurants will return to Singapore in 2018!
According to Yahoo Lifestyle Singapore, A&W CEO Kevin Bazner has already built an office in Singapore in 2016 to prepare for this expansion and is currently looking for “real estate for a flagship company restaurant in Singapore. They are planning to expand their chain of restaurants to Southeast Asia, with plans to open outlets in Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, and of course, Singapore.
There are plans to expand 30 to 40 new A&W restaurants a year in South East Asia.
Looks like Singaporeans will have their favourite A&W Root Beer, Hot Dogs and Mozza Burger as soon as in 2018. The A&W brand left Singapore in 2003.
